Linux behind movie 'Madagascar'

Technology behind the very realistic movie 'Madagascar'

* The movie has taken about four years to complete!!
* Every hair on every animal represents a line of computer code
* "Madagascar" landscape has 150,000 objects moving at once
* Revolutionary approach instead of "stretch and squash" technique
* Run on a complex system of Hewlett-Packard hardware running Linux as well as its own proprietary operating system known as e-motion.
* Team of 45

Fyi, Linux was also behind 'Sinbad'

Just watched -- Nine Queens (Nueve Reinas)

This is one of the best foreign movies I watched - in this case from Argentina. Though it is not bullet proof, this con film is fast paced, witty, exciting and entertaining. It's a con movie thriller with interesting twists (note the background is the bad state of economy in Argentina during the period).

Nine Queens (Nueve Reinas)

Two thumbs up!!
